Rain is a wonderful weather occurrence as long as there isn’t too much of it. It helps to refresh the flowers and other plants, it can be great to cool off a particularly warm day, and it also makes everything smell great. It can also help clean off some things like caked on dirt and mud if you’ve recently driven through some. While the rain is great for a lot of things, one thing that it isn’t good enough for is a true wash of your trucks and other work related vehicles. This is especially true if you transport anything like food or animals and need a sterilized clean. It might be tempting, but you can’t leave your vehicles out in the rain and call them clean, no matter how good they might look when the sun comes back out.
Rain water can be relatively safe for a lot of things, but the truth is that there is no way to test the purity level of water that is falling from the sky. This means that there might be micro deposits of dirt, germs, and other things that will be detrimental to a true clean. You also can’t change the pressure of rain that is falling, so when you have something that needs to be scrubbed with a pressure washer, rain certainly won’t help you out. It’s also rather difficult to do a trailer washout with rain, as that naturally will only fall directly down and most trailers don’t open from the top as well as the end. Even if they did, the water would likely become trapped and fester which can be a breeding ground for bugs like mosquitos, especially at this time of the year. That’s something that no one wants to deal with.
