The history of Neptune Wash Solutions has been marked by many proud firsts, not just within our company, but across the industry as a whole. We are constantly coming up with new and innovative systems designed with our end users in mind. Neptune Wash Solutions is dedicated to leading the clean road revolution, but we’re not limited to the simple removal of dirt, dust, and mud. Our highly-effective wash systems are capable of protecting the environment against pollutants that may cause significant harm. What kinds of pollutants, you might ask? Let’s take a closer look at some of our most notable innovations.

  • Bitumen. Bitumen is a naturally-occurring thick, oily-black liquid that can be found in sediment deposits. It’s often used as a binding component in asphalt here in the United States. Bitumen is actually a semi-solid form of petroleum, and it can be extremely sticky. Once the substance has latched onto the undercarriage of a vehicle, it’s tough to get it off. We developed a high-pressure undercarriage wash that was specifically designed for bitumen removal.
  • Noxious Weeds. Also known as invasive species, noxious weeds are foreign plants that may pose a threat to crops, livestock, and humans. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has compiled a list of federally-recognized noxious weeds to be on the lookout for. Our wash system can be used to disinfect against invasive species, protecting you and your farmland from further contamination.
  • Sodium Chloride. Road salt is a common occurrence in the wintertime, especially for states that have heavy snowfall and subzero temperatures. While North Carolina may not have the most severe winters, salt trucks do come out in preparation for any forecasted icy precipitation. These trucks spread a chemical known as sodium chloride, or a special large-crystal salt good for preventing ice buildup. Neptune wash stations feature a closed-loop filtration system that removes sodium chloride, which can be toxic to aquatic wildlife in excess.
  • Avian Influenza. The poultry industry makes use of trucks to transport chickens and other fowl. Birds carry an inherent risk of diseases such as avian influenza, also known as bird flu. Halt the spread of disease with our wash system, specifically designed to disinfect vehicles for the protection of drivers and workers.
