For as long as most of us can remember, people have been washing their own cars. Whether it was done in an attempt to save money or as a way to get out of the house on a nice day, washing your car is something that most of us have done at least once. While this is fine for your own personal vehicle, it really isn’t a good idea for something like a company van or a tractor trailer. Not only is it often impractical and takes way too much time, but it can actually leave your vehicle dirtier than when you started.
Think about how you wash your own car at home. I’m guessing that there is probably a bucket filled with water, a sponge, and some soap. Am I missing anything? Well, think about using that on something that is extremely muddy. It would take ages to get all of the mud off, and if you’re using the same sponge and the same water over and over again, you’re probably more just pushing all of the dirt around and even getting it on spots that there wasn’t originally mud due to the sponge now being full of the dirty water. Sounds pretty gross, doesn’t it?
This is essentially what you are doing every time you wash a vehicle by hand. Even if you can’t see the dirt, you are pushing it around with that dirty sponge that you’ve been dunking in that now germ filled water. Even though you may rinse it off with the hose after, you probably still have some dirt stuck to the car. It certainly may look better, but that doesn’t always mean it is clean.
This is why an automated wash system like Neptune’s is so important. We make sure that every wash rack we put out gives a spotless clean and it doesn’t just push the dirt around. Our systems were created by end users who couldn’t find what they wanted and so set out to make something better than the industry provided. This means that our systems have everything you could want and need plus more.
